Weekly Snapshot: Moving on.

In life, we tend to hold onto memories and relationships, but true liberation comes from recognizing what's draining us and having the courage to let go. It's not easy, but it's vital for our growth | Raheel Ahmad | On My Mind

Hi friends!

I've come to believe that humans are not wired to forget. Instead, we are wired to remember and to latch on. We see it in personal beliefs, old crushes, old ideas, relationships, and friendships.

Now, I realize that true liberation comes from moving on, from taking the road less traveled. It's all about identifying what's draining and what's empowering you. When you find something that gives you energy, double down on it. When you find something that's draining you, cut it off.

It won't be easy - after all, ties are tough to unknot - but be unforgiving.

You'll feel alone and afraid at first, but it's okay. Just remember that you'll make it regardless. Have faith in yourself.

Move on. Don't hold onto anything that you know, deep in your heart, isn't worth it. Your mental state and time are too precious.

💪 Wins of the week

  1. I'm focusing on what truly matters. It's unacceptable to do stuff to stay busy.
  2. I've made progress narrowing down stuff that truly deserves my attention and that I'm passionate about working on.
  3. Another week without cigarettes!
  4. I published my article and YouTube video (watch the video at the end of this newsletter)

🧐 Challenges & Learnings

  1. It's quite a challenge to manage certain relationships. I'm finding it difficult to deal with a friend, and it's draining. Maybe the solution is staring at me, but I'm showing restraint.
  2. Learning a new skill takes time - especially when you're trying to do it the right way. I'm a bit impatient and anxious - staying focused, patient, and action-oriented are key.
  3. Connecting with the right stakeholder for a sale or advice is a challenge. Some fear is holding me back - I'm trying to figure it out, but progress has been slow.

🎯 Goals for Next Week

Next week is all about increasing income and networking:

  1. Interview 10 entrepreneurs that either import or export products from UAE to Pakistan and vice versa.
  2. Figure out an extra income stream that can bring in an extra $3,000 every month (it's in process!)
  3. Publish 1 article and 1 YouTube video.
  4. Eat well and take care of my mental health.
  5. Gym: 4 days.

📖 My Readings

I'm currently reading Influence by Robert B Cialdini. Overall, this was again a weak reading week - I'll catch up next week!
